Description: Developed from an original oil pastel painting by KK Harris, Belle Isle Bramble invokes the history of Fauvism. KK deploys an unnatural use of color to capture the simplest of subjects, flowers. The pattern's name is derived from Belle-Île, an island off the coast of Brittany in northwest France where Henri Matisse studied with John Russell.
