Contents: Mudcloth made in Mali; envelope enclosure, papyrus Hopsack linen reverse side.

Description: Chris Seydou (1949-1994) introduced bogolan to the Paris runways in the early 80s. This move popularized mudcloth worldwide for the first time, and decades later his legacy can be seen in the contemporary home trends that have taken the home decor industry by storm.

“De novo” means “again” in Portuguese, but when translated literally, means "of new". We interpret the arrows in this design to signify renewal, replenishment, and a new day.
